ifo Business Climate Eastern Germany Rises

Counter to the trend in Germany as a whole, the mood among eastern German businesses brightened again slightly in April. The ifo Business Climate Index for the entire regional economy of eastern Germany rose marginally from 102.6 to 103.0 points. Companies were again somewhat more satisfied with their current business than in the previous month, and their outlook for the coming months remained cautiously optimistic.
