The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology pointed out that digital technologies contribute to approximately one third of the industrial growth in the EU member states; however, in order to maintain this position, it is necessary to provide adequate support for a digital transformation of traditional industries. They further emphasised that new business models and improved production processes, empowered by digital investments, would generate new international market opportunities.
“To achieve this, it is important to use an innovative approach. In the future, Slovenia will focus, among other thing, on encouraging small and medium-sized enterprises to introduce new business models and implement innovative business processes,” added Počivalšek.
